We are a small business selling mainly via our Heacham, Norfolk UK  showroom although we plan to offer a full online catalogue in early 2023.

We offer an eclectic range of Vintage, modern, refurbished and hand crafted Homewares, Cermaics, Art, Furntiure and design essentials and beautiful decorative items.

We will regularly update our website with new items, and we have a large amount of furniture in storage awaiting cleaning and sympathetic renovation.

Modern Story is all about taking something, be it vintage, pre loved or new and making it part of your home and your story right now.

It’s clear in the last few years that we all need to try and  live more sustainably,

-It is reported that buying a new piece of modern manufactured flat pack furniture can result in a carbon footprint up to 16 times higher than buying a classic vintage or pre owned equivalent.

So buying vintage and pre loved is definitely more sustainable and results in the preservation of good design, not to mention it often makes more financial sense with pieces appreciating in value with a resale option rather than ending up in land fill.
